About Kanak Bhawan
Kanak Bhawan, also known as Sone-ka-Ghar (House of Gold), is a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Ram
and Sita Mata. This temple is believed to have been gifted to Sita by Kaikeyi (Lord Ram's stepmother)
as a wedding gift.
Historical Significance
The present structure was built in 1891 by Rani Krishnabhanu Kunwari of Orchha. The temple is famous
for its intricate architecture and the golden crowns adorning the idols of Ram, Sita, and Lakshman.
